From Sunday Worship to Missions, we have multiple ways to plug in!
Wednesday Nights are an integral part of our church life. During the school year we begin at 5:30pm with a meal, followed by programs for all ages from 6:00-7:00pm. For the children and youth, we have nursery, three age-appropriate classes for the children, as well as youth group. Our adult class is called Conversations with Scripture. This is a discussion style class led by Pastor Joseph.
Our Children’s and Youth Ministry led by Tessa Silva has children’s church each Sunday, as well as children’s and youth ministry classes each Wednesday Night. We also encourage our children and youth to join us in our local mission projects. Each teacher is Ministry Safe certified, as we desire to create both a fun and safe environment for the children. as well as children’s classes and youth group each Wednesday Night.
Discipleship is at the heart of who we are at Mt. Gilead. We encourage all of our adults to be in a Discipleship Group where we pray together and study God’s Word together. Contact us today to learn how to join!

We partner with several ministries in Coweta County, such as RiverLife, Sparrows Closet, Elevate Coweta, and One Wish to serve in our local community. We also sponsor an annual Car Show each October to raise funds for The Cancer Support Group. We have a local mission opportunity almost each month. Please contact Pastor Joseph for more information.
Join our church's sewing ministry every Tuesday evening from 5:30 – 7:00 at 1020 Hwy 16 E, Newnan, GA. We make handmade items for people in need in our local community, as well as regular projects for the Cancer Center. All skill levels are welcome. Please contact Jennie Caldwell for more information.
At Mt. Gilead, we believe in loving our neighbors well. Whether you’re looking for local assistance, counseling services, food support, or ways to serve others, this is where you’ll find helpful tools and connections to meet real needs.
At RiverLife, we help individuals and families who can’t afford home repairs due to age, disability, or financial hardship. Our volunteers provide free repairs—like steps, ramps, porches, and handrails—to make homes safer and more accessible for those in unsafe living conditions.
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving infants, children, and teens in foster care through encouragement, advocacy, and empowerment. They equip young people to self-advocate, make healthy life choices, and grow spiritually, emotionally, and mentally toward better long-term outcomes.
The Reece Center is a volunteer-led nonprofit offering equine-assisted therapy to children and adults with physical, developmental, and emotional disabilities. Since 1984, they’ve used horseback riding to build confidence, strength, and meaningful connection in a safe, faith-based setting.
Providing spiritual, educational, cultural, and health support to those in Guatemala City, Monte Rico, and Rio Dulce—offering tutorials and Bible camps to 1,700 children, daily breakfast to 200 children, and hosting medical and dental clinics with teams from the U.S. and Canada.

Reignite Summer Youth Camp, July 27-31
Join us for a Sunday focused on our children and youth, as we celebrate our children being promoted up to new classes, we hear testimony of our youth who attended Reignite Camp, and we do a blessing of the backpacks, praying over our students as they return to school.
We welcome Heidi Winter from Frontline Missions to share about what God is doing in parts of Central and South America. An offering will be taken for Frontline Missions.
Please keep Pastor Joseph in prayer as he prepares to teach at a church and leadership conference in Colombia.
Our team will be working in Mayan villages, doing a construction project, playing with kids, and praying with families. Cost is approximately $1400/person. Please see Steve or Charlotte Rutherford or Pastor Joseph if interested.
Join us for our annual car show, as well as a fantastic southern meal for lunch. You can also register a car for $20. All proceeds benefit the Cancer Support Group of Coweta County. The Cancer Support Group supports cancer patients in the Newnan/Coweta area with grants that help with the costs incurred during treatment. Join us each October for this great event!
