Building Connections in Our Church and Our Community

How You Can Get Connected

From Sunday Worship to Missions, we have multiple ways to plug in!

Wednesday Nights At Mt. Gilead

Wednesday Nights are an integral part of our church life. During the school year we begin at 5:30pm with a meal, followed by programs for all ages from 6:00-7:00pm. For the children and youth, we have nursery, three age-appropriate classes for the children, as well as youth group. Our adult class is called Conversations with Scripture. This is a discussion style class led by Pastor Joseph.

Children's And Youth Ministry

Our Children’s and Youth Ministry led by Tessa Silva has children’s church each Sunday, as well as children’s and youth ministry classes each Wednesday Night. We also encourage our children and youth to join us in our local mission projects. Each teacher is Ministry Safe certified, as we desire to create both a fun and safe environment for the children. as well as children’s classes and youth group each Wednesday Night.

Discipleship
Groups

Discipleship is at the heart of who we are at Mt. Gilead. We encourage all of our adults to be in a Discipleship Group where we pray together and study God’s Word together. Contact us today to learn how to join!

International Missions

We partner with ministries in Colombia, Guatemala, and Thailand. Please contact Pastor Joseph for more information on how you can connect with one of our international missions opportunities.

Local Missions

We partner with several ministries in Coweta County, such as RiverLife, Sparrows Closet, Elevate Coweta, and One Wish to serve in our local community. We also sponsor an annual Car Show each October to raise funds for The Cancer Support Group. We have a local mission opportunity almost each month. Please contact Pastor Joseph for more information.

Sewing Ministry

Join our church's sewing ministry every Tuesday evening from 5:30 – 7:00 at 1020 Hwy 16 E, Newnan, GA. We make handmade items for people in need in our local community, as well as regular projects for the Cancer Center. All skill levels are welcome. Please contact Jennie Caldwell for more information.

Serving Our Community

At Mt. Gilead, we believe in loving our neighbors well. Whether you’re looking for local assistance, counseling services, food support, or ways to serve others, this is where you’ll find helpful tools and connections to meet real needs.

At RiverLife, we help individuals and families who can’t afford home repairs due to age, disability, or financial hardship. Our volunteers provide free repairs—like steps, ramps, porches, and handrails—to make homes safer and more accessible for those in unsafe living conditions.

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving infants, children, and teens in foster care through encouragement, advocacy, and empowerment. They equip young people to self-advocate, make healthy life choices, and grow spiritually, emotionally, and mentally toward better long-term outcomes.

The Reece Center is a volunteer-led nonprofit offering equine-assisted therapy to children and adults with physical, developmental, and emotional disabilities. Since 1984, they’ve used horseback riding to build confidence, strength, and meaningful connection in a safe, faith-based setting.

Providing spiritual, educational, cultural, and health support to those in Guatemala City, Monte Rico, and Rio Dulce—offering tutorials and Bible camps to 1,700 children, daily breakfast to 200 children, and hosting medical and dental clinics with teams from the U.S. and Canada.

Monthly Prayer

O God, who for our redemption gave your only begotten Son to die upon the Cross, and by his glorious resurrection delivered us from the devil and the power of death: Grant us grace to die daily to sin, that we may live with him in the joy of his resurrection; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, now and for ever. Amen.
